Here you’ll find all that you’ll need to know regarding our wedding—there’s info related to travel, accommodations, things to do around Lawrence (the closest town to Tonganoxie), and more! If you have further questions, you can of course reach out to Chloé or Matty by phone, or you can email us here: chloe.matty25@gmail.com
Registry:
In lieu of specific items, we humbly ask that any gifts be made in the form of cash or check (Venmo works too: https://venmo.com/u/ChloeCooperJones), which will directly support one of the many home renovation projects related to our new house in the Hudson Valley! Our mailing address is 50 Brooks Drive, Kerhonkson, NY 12446.
As many of you know, in August 2024, we bought a home. It’s located just west of the Shawangunk Ridge, facing the Catskill Mountains. Current and long-term projects range from replacing floors to re-insulating the attic, digging french drains, and updating our kitchen . . . We have a lot on our plate, which Matty is doing more or less himself. Your gift would be so meaningful to us as we build this aspect of our life together—we hope you will visit!
Timing:
The ceremony will begin at 6pm. Please plan to arrive around 5:30pm. There will be parking on site. The ceremony will be followed by dinner and dancing! (Please note: There will be champagne for toasts, but otherwise this is a BYOB wedding.)
Venue:
The wedding will take place at Chloé’s childhood home, where her mother still lives. The address is 21702 219th St. in Tonganoxie, Kansas. The ceremony and festivities will take place outdoors on the beautiful farmland that was originally purchased by Chloé’s grandfather decades ago.
Dress:
Bearing the venue in mind, we suggest that you dress comfortably. It will most likely be pretty warm, we’ll be outside, and there will be some walking on grass, gravel, and dirt. This is a country wedding! You may see horses and hay bales. Dress in a way that makes you feel excited, free, like yourself, and ready to dance!
Travel:
The closest airport to Tonganoxie is Kansas City International Airport (MCI), which is served by all major airline carriers. It’s a pretty simple 45 minute drive from the airport to Lawrence, where many of you will stay, and a simple 20 minute drive from Lawrence to the venue in Tonganoxie. Here is a link to MCI: https://flykc.com/
Accomodations:
There are many possible options as far as hotels and AirBnB go. We suggest staying in Lawrence, a vibrant small town that is home to the University of Kansas. We are aware, however, that students will be going back to college in late August and that prices may be inflated. Kansas City is also a great option for unique, affordable hotels, and is closer to the airport. Below are a few hotels in downtown Lawrence:
4) Munchers - Longstanding Lawrence institution, carries Wolfgang’s favorite donut, open 24 hours, cheap and delicious coffee and pastries: https://www.facebook.com/munchersbakery
5) Wonder Fair - Art supplies, curious, and trinkets, a great spot for gifts and souvenirs: https://www.wonderfair.com/
