Until it reached into our lives and destroyed the tranquility that we had. Commissioned by the Fine Arts Center Gallery at the University of Arkansas. Curated by Michael Maizels. Media Variable. 2018 - 2019.

Through intense collaboration with both local and national actors, Davis established a network of choreographies both on land and by air to access, unearth, and reactivate particular sites in western Arkansas, unveiling a poignant portrait of the body, the land, its people, and the extremely odd forces that have rippled through it all.

Collaborators and contributors include filmmaker Eryka Dellenbach, NCAA athlete Austen Dalquist, contractor Chris Lee, glass artist Joshua Stipe, activist Mark Swaney, and designers Ayham Ghraowi and Matt Wolff. Special thanks to the University of Arkansas Library’s Special Collections and the Humanities Steering Committee. Lastly, the artist would like to particularly acknowledge Eryka Dellenbach for her courage and dedication in the making of this work.

As part of Until it reached into our lives and destroyed the tranquility that we had, a book was produced in collaboration with Ayham Ghraowi and Matt Wolff that formally embodies Davis’s research, process, and discoveries.
